In this lesson we learn how to build a survival shelter using some basic materials from our backpack and from the wilderness.

You'll need the following items for the practical:

• A tarpaulin (tarp) or poncho.

• A few guy lines or about 4m of paracord.

• A knife.

• Two relatively straight sticks of about 1,2m each.

• 6-10 Tent stakes depending on how big your tarp is.
