Connor has spent endless hours in the outdoors and has incredible patience to teach even complicated survival skills. With an outstanding capacity for survival problem solving, Connor has the ability to transfer knowledge to young children and adults alike, ensuring that every student receives the best survival training at a level which they are able to comprehend and practice with ease.

She heads up the Live Ready KZN branch from her base at Sinakekele Children where she is deeply involved with rural community development and enriching the lives of abandoned babies and children. With her bright and uplifting personality, any survival preparedness skill she teaches is a joy to learn. Tarryn is also an award winning outdoor film maker and producer and has been a valuable part of the Live Ready production team. 

Gerhard grew up on a farm in rural KwaZulu-Natal and from a young age he was absolutely in awe of the natural world. Gerhard completed a BSc in Environmental Management and Zoology, anticipating a career in the great outdoors. Subsequent to his BSc degree, he completed a PGDip in Nature Conservation followed by a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Agriculture, bringing him full circle back to the farm environment. In a somewhat poetic reversal.

After being baptized into the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach, two areas of passion converged; spending time in the beauty of creation and sharing the wonders of the living God YHWH with others. Now Gerhard enjoys nature and adventures in His exquisite creation as a gift. A gift that he truly likes to share.
